About Us... |

Welcome to the Polmont Golf Section, we were formed in 2014 by a number of Prison Officers who work together at Polmont Young Offenders Institution in central Scotland. After a trial outing in September 2013 to Burntisland Golf course, those who attended expressed an interest in joining a works golf section as the event went very well. We decided on a Spring, Summer and Autumn outings to local Golf clubs no more than 1 hour from Falkirk. 2014 saw us run three outings to Deer Park Country Golf Club, Aberdour Golf Club and Callander Golf Club. Our Golf Section ran our first Championship singles event in 2014, played locally over the season at members own courses, this event was won by Brian Ward. We look forward to a successful year in 2020, we hope to introduce new members in the coming year, if you are interested in joining the Golf Section please get in touch with any member of the committee. We are open to all employees of Polmont YOI, Any relatives of employees at Polmont YOI, Any ex employees of Polmont YOI and any retired members of Polmont YOI. |
